My son scored physics 43,chemistry 77, Maths 70 and NTA Score 70 and belongs to Obc NCL.Any changes to get NIT.Please reply Sir.

Swati Umang 25th Jan, 2020

The formula used for obtaining the expected rank of the student is: (100- percentile)*869010/100. One gets admitted to NITs on the rank secured in JEE-Mains. The chances of getting into NITs can be decided once we know the rank. Check the following link for the cutoff trends in NITs: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

For OBC/SC/ST ,it is 40% and for PWD, it is 45% .
There is no such norm that you should get 50% marks in each subject.

Your rank is not determined from the strength of your shift. The strength of your shift helps you to calculate the percentile.
