yes, you can enrolled in btech from second year. there is a exam calls lateral entry exam which is the gate way for diploma or bsc students to get into b.tech. the basic eligibility criteria is Candidate must have complete his/her diploma in Engineering and Technology with atleast

As a BSc student you will be having botany chemistry chemistry and etc., Soo based upon your interest in the field go for the subjects. Don't depend upon on others or don't consider others words because you are taking the subjects not others soo which ever are interested
