I have pcm and electronics as my vocational subject. Can I exclude chemistry in the calculation of top 20 percentile?

nehaojha000_7965830 Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019

Hi Onkar,

One of the  criteria for calculating percentage is : Any one of Chemistry, biology, biotechnology, technical vocation subject. So You can use electronics to calculate the percentage instead of chemistry.

Thanks.

Is it Nesessary to score better in physics and mathematics than chemistry?? That means physics. & mathe. Are rank decider??

Prince Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019

Hey Shivam,

In IIT-JEE there is no such thing like scoring more in  Physics or mathematics will increase your rank. If you till have a doubt you can ask any JEE-Aspiriant. Most JEE-Aspiriant focus on Chemistry more as it's considered as most scoring subject in all of the three subjects.

The merit list of the NEET exam always gets highr by certain amount of the percentage. All india quota seats are for the govt. medical and dental colleges and the merit rank is higher in this quota. Now based on your marks it is difficult to get into the govt.
