For admission in Bsc( chemistry hons. ) from DU ...Which four subjects % is counted ???& what will be its cutoff???plzz answer

For B.Sc Chemistry Honours the subjects you need to count in your best of four calculation are-
  • Chemistry ( otherwise you may have a penalty of 2.5 percent)
  • One language subject
  • Any two other academic/elective subjects as per List A

List A includes subject like Mathematics, Geography, physics, Home science,

Hi, I'm sorry to inform you that BITS doesn't provide direct admission. In order to seek admission in the college you will have to appear for an entrance exam called BITSAT.
The criterias to be eligible to write the exam are as follows:

  • You must have cleared class 12 board

Firstly, the syllabus. I believe that the most of the state board syllabus will suffice for this. I strongly recommend the usage ofNCERTtextbooks.

For reference books, any of the standard JEE Mains preparatory books will be good enough. . A bit of practice for tougher questions will always keep you

NCERTs are the best source to make foundations and yes, most of the questions do come from NCERTs. But you will have the ability to solve them if you have practised lot of questions beforehand from other sources also.

Hello Aviral..Definitely "Yes". If you are applying for B.Sc Chemistry (Honors.) you have to study Mathematics in your first year and second year . ie.first semester and third semester. Can we include physical education for calculating best of four if we wish to apply for BSC hons chemistry??

Hey,

you cannot include physical education in the best four subjects. According to delhi university guidelines one language subject and three core subjects are required to be calculated in the best four subjects. If you add physical education there will be a deduction of around 2.5%
