As per the student reviews of the college itself, the faculty is said to be qualified and experienced. They are quite interactive and cooperative when it comes to the subject. There are no internship opportunities provided by the institute. As far as the placement is concerned, around 60% of students get placed and there are good placement records for the CSE Branch. The average package is around 3-3.4 lakh per annum and the companies are mostly like TCS and Infosys. In the end, it is your merit and calibre which lands you a job in a good company.

In this age of software revolution in the country, biggest job provider for any engineering graduate is actually the Service sector. It recruites a lot of engineers preferably from branches related to the industry like CSE and IT. Though, both the colleges are pretty average and the placement package and chances are not very much different. In terms of better future security I would, suggest you to fill CSE CSJMU over BU ECE. The study in engineering colleges is almost nil and you have to study yourself anywhere you go. So just go for the better branch. The labs and classrooms are well lit and all the equipments required are present. The placements are average and the salary package offered is 3 LPA.All the best

Hope you are doing well. As per your query Chatrapathi Sahu Ji Maharaj University is a very renowned and good institution in Kanpur. Both IT and CSE branch of this particular college is one of the best. Though the placement scenario of the other streams is not very good but most the reputed companies hire students from IT and CSE branches. I am sorry to inform you about this but your general rank of 12689 is very poor. However hope for the best as you have armed forces quota so you may ge admission in B. Pharm if you are lucky. The General closing rank for B. Pharm for the year of 2018 was 574 for General category for admission into CSJMU. Hence there is little chance for getting admission. Hope this answer helps!
