PLACEMENT FOR MINING ENGINEERS? PLACEMENT FOR CS ENGINEER? PLACEMENT FOR CIVIL ENGINEER ?

Mohammad Saaim 19th Aug, 2020

Hi Rajpurohit.

Placements are based on the colleges. As far as placements are concerned, they purely depends on quality and status of the college you are studying in.

Its a harsh reality that if someone wants a good placement then he/she should be from a good renowned college. If the ratings, popularity, students, infrastructure and quality of the college will be good, then the companies will come to one's college. That's why we are always advised to study hard to get a good tier I or tier II college when we're opting engineering as a career.

Now,

Placements for Mining Engineers:-

If you belong to any IIT Or NIT or ISM Dhanbad then definitely you will be able to get the chance of placement like Vedanta resources (hzl) ,coal India limited (cil),lafarge ,acc cements, hindalco etc coming for campus placement. Average package would be around 4-5 lakhs

Placements for Civil Engineers:-

In present scenario , the market for civil engineers is getting better. Top companies like L&T , Gammon ,HCC , GMR recruit students only from top colleges like IITs ,NITs , Govt Universities and some top private universities.

Placements in Computer Engineering:-

With every business and organization going digital, the IT sector today is a booming field as compared to other sectors and there is a huge demand of Computer Science Engineers and programmers. Some of the top companies that hire Computer Engineers are Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Dell, HCL, Infosys. with attractive packages sometimes worth crores.

If you are confused in these branches and having problem in selecting the branches, then there's a advice for you that always listen to heart and chose the stream or branch you are interested in. Don't choose on the basis of placements. i know placements matters but what matters the most is your interest, otherwise you'll regret it in your whole life.

I hope it helps you and if you still have any doubts or queries, then feel free to ask here. You can ask your doubts in the comment section or you can ask a separate question.

Thank You and All the best for your future.

Between VITEE and IET lko, which btech degree is more fruitful for getting a job as a civil engineer?

Anantika Kushwaha 29th Jun, 2020
Hello Ayush,

Both VIT and IET are extremely good Institutes. VIT is a private college while IET is a government college. VIT has several branches while IET is located in Lucknow. In regards to placements both the colleges are extremely good. VITs few structure is quite high while IET has lower fee structure in comparison. Admission to VIT UG programs is through VITEEE while admission to IET UG programs is through UPSEE.

will civil engineer is best or mechnical engineer is best

Pritam Singh 5th May, 2020

Hey there

Choosing engineering branch is tough because students get confused but I'll say do not choose any branch because most the students choose it or something like that. Choose the branch in which you have more interest in. Do research a lot about different engineering branches and choose the best for you. Between mechanical and civil both are different. Mechanical is a branch which deals with mechanical things or structures and civil has construction works so you need to choose between them which one do you like.

In July what is the minimum marks and percentile to get seat in NIT Jaipur of civil engineer and I am from Telangana OBC category.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 4th Jun, 2020
Hello,
It is difficult to indicate the marks and percentile as cut off changes depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, highest score etc.It is not clear whether you belong to OBC-NCL or OBC-CL.If you belong to the latter you will be coming under general category. In 2019 the general cut off for other state quota for Civil engineering in MNIT, Jaipur was 24422.For OBC-NCL it was 7283.Considering this you need to score 98 or above  percentile and your marks must be above 220.Cut off in 2020 may increase or decrease.

i want to know about civil engineer study process and related jobs

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 12th Apr, 2020
Hi there

Civil Engineering is that branch of engineering in which you learn planning, designing, constructing, maintaining of infrastructures .

How you can get into civil engineering:-

  • First of all to you will have to pass your 12th board examination in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • Then you need to appear in entrance examinations like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, MHCET, KCET, BITSAT, VITEEE etc.

  • If you perform well in your entrance exam then you will get a good college for your civil engineering based upon your performance i.e marks of rank obtained by you in the entrance exam

Jobs you can get after your civil engineering are listed below;-

  • Building control surveyor
  • CAD technician
  • Consulting civil engineer
  • Design engineer
  • Structural engineer
  • Construction manager

I hope that you find this helpful

Thankyou

Sharon Rose Student Expert 11th May, 2020

Hello,

In 2019 a candidate with rank 8771 belonging to OBC-NCL from other state secured seat in Civil Engineering in NIT, Raipur. This cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, number of seats available, difficulty of exam etc.Your expected rank will be around 42881 your expected rank can be calculated by the formula (100-your total percentile)*869010/100

.And your category rank will be in between 10000-12000.Considering previous year cut off you may not get seat but as said earlier cut off may increase or decrease.
