Aditya engineering college is overall good .it's a private institutions , infrastructure ,campus life , sports facilities all are fine.Teachers are also cooperative . placements are good but as you asked that particularly in civil then I will say only one thing that it depends upon your ability.if you do

the BHARATH UNIVERSITY is very good and one of the old colleges in CHENNAI while the interms of education its quite worthy and facilites are good and interms of placements you wil not get any of them to CIVIL.
