Structural engineering has vast scope in future . if you can understand thetopic while they teach you . there is no need to aalot time seperately to study and understand the topics. You can concentrate on your ESE preparation also

We have a particular percentage of board marks that will be added if u want to get admission through jee mains .
So I would suggest that u should focus on board marks too.

To be eligible for B.Tech in Civil Engineering, PCM subjects are mandatory to have in 12th and as per your above said subjects you cannot apply for engineering entrances.
