unfortunately 80 marks in GATE is not sufficient to secure a seat for yourself for your master's degree in any of the IITs or NITs. You will be required to secure a much better score in order to secure a seat at IITs or NITs for your post

The eligiblity criteria says that if you have done your diploma in any branch of engineering then you can change your branch of engineering while choosing among the branch in JEE or state entrance examination counselling.SO you can easily change your preferred branches from civil to mining here.

There is no home state quota for admission in School of Engineering, Tezpur University, Tezpur is based. All the seats through JoSAA counselling are filled under All India quota. You have not mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category here is the previous year cut off
