my branch rank is 1088 and integrated rank is 6820 which college is elgible for civil branch

hemanth kumar 25th May, 2025

Your TS EAMCET 2025 scores give you a good opportunity to pursue Civil Engineering in several top and mid-level colleges in Telangana.

You should try for government colleges such as JNTU Hyderabad and Osmania University, because their civil branch cut-offs are higher than your rank for any category. On top of that, Civil Engineering is a viable choice at well-known private colleges like CBIT, VNR VJIET and GRIET if you achieve your rank.

A range of strong Civil programs can be found in districts like Warangal, Nizamabad and Karimnagar and you can safely rely on them since they nearly always rank higher than you.

Hey ! I have done my BE civil engineering. I want to apply for the ALP exam but Civil engineering students cant apply for it . Is a 1 year ITI diploma sufficient for me to apply for the exam ?

SEJAL JAIN 23rd May, 2025

Yes, you can apply for the RRB ALP exam with a 1-year ITI diploma, only if it's in an eligible trade like Fitter, Electrician, or Mechanic. Your BE in Civil Engineering alone is not valid for ALP eligibility. The ITI must be from an NCVT or SCVT-recognized institute. Make sure the trade is listed in the official RRB notification. Without a valid trade, your application may be rejected. Always verify the latest eligibility criteria before applying.

Nit me civil, electric engineering, obc mein kitna rank chahiye

Kishan Bhakat 22nd May, 2025

Hi,

If you’re from the OBC category and aiming for Civil or Electrical Engineering in NITs, here’s a quick idea:

To get a seat in decent NITs, your JEE Main rank should ideally be between 40,000 to 70,000. The exact rank depends on the NIT you're targeting, your home state, and how competitive the branch is (Electrical is a bit tougher than Civil in most cases).

For example:

  • You might need around 50k–60k rank for NIT Patna or Raipur.

  • For top NITs like Warangal or Trichy, it’s much tougher—you’ll need a much lower rank, maybe around 20k–30k for OBC.

You can also check your chances using the Careers360 JEE College Predictor .

Hope this helps!

my ews rank is 48000(77percentile) in jee mains and i have homestate quota for jit andhra pradesh, and i am a female candidate... can i get seat in civil engg at nit ap? i have seen that last round closing rank is 74000 but i dont know whether it is all india rank or categary rank.please clarify.tq.

gopi 21st May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Based on your details with EWS rank of 48,000 and 77 percentile as a female candidate, Your seat as home state quota for NIT Andhra Pradesh, I want to clarify one thing:

The closing rank of 74,000 you said for Civil Engineering at NIT AP is for the Common Rank List (CRL) and not EWS category. JoSAA usually provides closing ranks by category (Home State/Other State, and Female/Non-Female), so the EWS closing ranks would be in the EWS specific closing ranks under the category for Female, Home State.  With the EWS rank of 48,000, you will probably not get a seat into Civil Engineering at NIT AP because the EWS closing ranks for Civil engineering under the home state quota last year are usually much lower (usually under 3,000-5,000 EWS rank).

Heyy, I am mahanth, I am confused about which stream should I pick in b tech I am interested in civil and ece which would have better future and good placements

gopi 18th May, 2025

Hello Mahanth Kumar,

  1. Civil Engineering handles infrastructure like buildings, roads, bridges and has steady demand due to ongoing development and urbanization. It offers opportunities in construction, project handling, and government departments. Placements are typically steady but rely on the college and location.
  2. ECE is more technology-focused, with discussions of communication systems, embedded systems, and IoT. It offers broader prospects in tech companies, telecommunications, software, and startups, normally with superior starting pay and faster career progression.

If you like hands-on, large-scale work and infrastructure, Civil may be the way to go. If you're a gadget person, electronics, and tech innovation, ECE may be the better bet. Both are good career prospects, so choose the one that interests you more!

kumardurgesh1802 18th May, 2025

Hello there,

Sure, I can help! But I need a little more detail to guide you properly:

  1. Which exam mock test did you attempt? (For example: GATE 2025, SSC JE, RRB JE, State PSC, etc.)

  2. Where did you take the mock test? (Was it on a specific platform like NTA website, Testbook, Gradeup, Made Easy, ACE, BYJU'S, or some coaching app?)

Once I know this, I can tell you exactly how to check your mock test results.

Thank you!
