NIOS has already started admission for class 10th exam to be conducted in April 2022 session, the last date to apply for the same without late fee is 31st July, However, students are eligible to apply till 15th September with late charges, the eligibility criteria for class 10th admission

In this case I would say you should provide the percentage on the basis of all the 6 subjects. See in the official website there are no mentions about this so its safe for you to consider all the subject rather than considering the best of 5.

No I don't think there is any problem in having two years of gap after class10th as you might be having a valid reason for that.
