Hello dear would not recommend you to drop a year for preparing a competitive examination. Competition exam like JEE is not a easy task to clear just by studying one year.You have to be focused and consistent to your studies atleast for 2 years to fetch a good IIT.One year

Hello,

While studying commerce stream in class 11th and 12th you will have optional subjects like Maths/P.E/Hindi/Sanskrit/Maths/Computer Science.
If you were good at maths and if you have interest then i would suggest you to go for maths.

It totally depends on you , if you are eager to study Medicine then take a drop and prepare for it.
If you are not so eager and enthusiastic about medicine or dentistry then pursue other courses.
