According to the rules you need to have to pass 10+2 to answer JEE Mains/Adv. Now to enter 12th, you would obviously need to pass 11th standard. Hence, Yes it is very important and one of the most basic requirement.

No need to drop math. With math you will be having more options in choosing career like NISER JEE
and with biology you can appear all other exams. I had PCMB in 12th and now I am doing my mbbs.so work a little hard

The Admission Test Dates for admissions to AMU Class 11 are usually announced well in advance.This year, the exam may tentatively be scheduled in May 13, 2018 for the Science stream and Humanities stream.
