Dear Rakesh, your son rank is quite good and appreciatable but the 12th score is not up to the marks just wait for the jee mains counselling. You can apply for Bihar govt colleges or semi govt colleges or other state colleges also. I suggest you wait till jee counselling

Please specify what course you want to persue further and from where. There are different criteria for different courses. It will also depend upon your stream like science or commerce or arts. So please specify the future career plan. But try to  score atleast 60%.

Sorry to say Richa there is no chance of getting NITs through your percentile and 12th percentages. Because the cut off jee mains for general is 89 percentile and for general Ews is 74 something. For NITs, you have to get more than 93 percentile in Jee mains. Better luck

Grqduqtion degree is not that important in learning UPSC exam, so go head with your own field ( science).

You can persue any degree but be and expert of your field. Your subject knowledge will difinitely matter.

you are eligible for qualifying JEE MAINS  because the eligiblity criteria is overall 75% in 12 th board examintion not 75 % in PCM only.

Since you belong to general category you may not get the good colleges for bcom hons in the first cutoff. It would extend till the third or 4th to get a good one. Till then many good colleges even get closed for general category. So i would suggest
