Thapar University is better if compared to the other two colleges mentioned by you as the college have some good alumnis in the industry. But with your rank it seems bit tough to get a seat there. You may have to wait till the end of counselling rounds.

If you are interested in commerce then you must pursue it.It has broad scope if you have interest in it.With this course you can be C.A, secretary of MNC company and so many are there.Go with commerce after 12th.
