There is a cutoff set for class 12th percentage in many entrance exams also many competitive exams therefore it is better to have a good marks in class 12th to avoid exit due to cut off also you are 12th marks indicates your subject you knowledge therefore as per 12th

The 12th score matters but not that much. If you score around 80-90 percent it will be good as it does matter in IIM Ahmedabad. But if your percentile in CAT exam will be very high then it is possible that the score of 12th might not affect that much.

Yes you can take admission through NEET but you have to clear the compartment exam first and score above 60% in PCB. Only then you are eligible for the counselling.
