I Think this is the very difficult question to answer but according to my experience you should study online with help of syllabus that is best but if you still want to try any coaching locally by taking proper reviews from the student and than decide which is best for
If you are asking for JEE MAin preparation, There are many coaching or Institutes, Some of them coachings like Allen, Aakash, Resonance are the best ones & preferred by the students.

Well you have put this question for NIT ,so for getting admission in NIT colleges ,you have must have secured 75% if you are from cbse and for other boards i mean state boards your marks should in top 20 percentile.
