For admission in a decent college and a good branch under CUSAT, you would require a rank around 4000-5000 atleast. Otherwise minimum rank admitted in 2017 was around 8000 in the general category.

To get a good branch iit is really hard with a rank of above 10k in CUSAT CAT, but you can participate in the counselling at CUSAT campus.

With a rank of 3987 in CUSAT CAT it is very hard to get any top branches in SOE,Kochi.

In case you have any reservation then surely you can get any branch of your wish.

You have good chances of getting Civil Engineering in CUCEK Kuttanad. Do apply for counselling as per your rank. If not Civil then you may get any other branches except teh top branches (ECE,CSE,Mech.).

Considering your rank , you can easily get admission through CUSAT CAT but i can not assure you that you can get any branch . You can use CUSAT CAT College predictor to check the list of all possible colleges .
