Hi Albit sunny, don't worry your HSC marks are quite enough. The marks in English and Malayalam is not consider in the calculation of cutoff. To get seat in engineering, chemistry, physics and mathematics are the required subjects. So calculate your cutoff marks and apply for the counselling, you can get good engineering college in mechanical branch.

As you have not mentioned your category so it is little bit difficult to guide you with an accurate information but although according to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs or IIITs until and unless you deserves Home State quota as per previous year's cut-offs but I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks. Yes,you can get the seat ,stay active apply for the college counselling as fast as possible ,because sometime we lose a good oppourtunity due to our laziness.
If you don't get the seat in the first go stay there and keep looking for other counselling rounds.

With 416 rank in cusat , you have good chanceto get a seat in cusat. It depends upon cut off of the College. Cut off depends upon number of candidates appeared and qualified, difficulty level of exam.
2018 cusat cut off last rank was rank of around 700
2019 cusat Cut off last rank was 1300-1400.
Hence you may get seat for integrated msc in chemistry
With 541 rank you will get a seat on in integrated msc course depends upon cut off of the college. Cutoff depends upon number of candidates appeared in exam, difficulty level of exam and previous year's cut off etc.
