CUSAT conduct a common Admission Test on the basis of score you get admission. CUSAT CAT Eligibility Criteria for regular B.Tech Courses:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam of the state of Kerala or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board/university.
• Candidates must have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects in their class 12th or equivalent exam.
• They must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics in class 12th or equivalent.
• Applicants must have scored an aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry taken together.

COMMON ADMISSION TEST 2020 (CAT 2020)

All admissions except M.Phil / Ph.D/ All Diploma Courses

The candidates who wish admissions for programmes other than M.Phil / Ph.D/ All Diploma Courses in CUSAT should apply for CAT - 2020 through this portal. Applications in any other method will not be accepted.

Candidates with a valid KMAT/CMAT/CAT(IIM)Score can apply for MBA programmes. These candidates will be ranked on the basis of KMAT/CMAT/CAT(IIM) Score, Group Discussion and Interview.

For M.Tech programmes, preference will be given to candidates with valid GATE score in the respective subject. In the absence of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates without GATE score will be admitted on the basis of their performance in Department Admission Test (DAT) to be conducted by the Departments concerned.

The CUSAT CAT (Common Admission Test), 2020 which was scheduled on 27th and 28th July is now cancelled. So, further information on the matter will be declared later. Till now, we have got no such information regarding the admissions for B. Tech programme in Cochin University of Science and Technology.

The admissions are conducted on the basis of online Common Admission Test ( CUSAT CAT) or online Lateral Entry Test (LET) or Departmental Admission Test ( CUSAT DAT), by the University. The university also accepts GATE and MAT/CAT scores for admissions in Mtech and MBA courses.

WI-FI Access Points are installed in various locations of the three campuses of CUSAT, Trikakkara, Lakeside and Pulincunnu Campuses. According to wifi speed test in 2012, the starting speed is 10 mbps the download speed is 3.97 mbps, upload sppeed is 6.93 mbps and ping is 152 ms.

CUSAT is definitely very good college for CSE branch. This comes under Kerala government ownership. The college provides many platforms and opportunities for students. The average package is also very good which is around 5 lakh per annum. You have to get a high rank to opt CSE.

Cochin University of Science and Technology has cancelled the CUSAT CAT 2020 exam which was scheduled to be held on July 27 and 28.

Further notification on the matter will be issued later.

If exam are not held than the admission procedure is based on merit base.

But you can wait for official notifications on that.
