Because most of the companies which visits CUSAT are IT companies, and being an IT student you are going to be eligible for almost all visiting IT companies, if you are satisfying all criteria like minimum marks, no backlog etc.

Pacements wise,IT is really good. If you are good at your academics then you can easily grab a job.

Yes the government college, kasaragod offers of BSC as well as MSc in geology. According the eligibility criteria you need to have minimum of 55% in class 12 in order to get admission in the college. The course duration is 3 years and fee may vary between 10-30k.

Hello Akanksha, there's no other option because you don't fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the colleges which is you need an aggregate of 50% marks in 12th boards and you need 60% marks in maths to be eligible for admission. You won't be able to take admission. You should apply to other colleges. 

Dear Aspirant the closing rank in cusat colleges is, 

CSE closing rank is 5289.

Merin engineering closing rank is 150.

So it is possible that you can join for the CSE but merin engineering isn't possible.

As per the previous years cut off details, the ranks required for the Admission in,

CSE is below 5200 rank (Approx) in the Kuttand campus.

CSE is below 2300 rank (Approx) in the Ernakulam campus.

Naval Architecture and marine engineering is below 150 rank.

Cochin University of Science and Technology considers student with CUSAT rank and your JEE MAIN percentile is nowhere helping you to get a seat there as the competition is very tough. If you have appeared in CUSAT entrance then that rank would have helped you but through JEE Main it is not possible.

CUSAT CAT Eligibility refers to the criteria that are essential to be considered before applying for Common Admission Test in Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT CAT).

• For applying to B.Tech courses, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
• Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects in 10+2 level.
• For graduation courses, candidates who have appeared for 10+2 exam are also eligible.
• The qualifying marks for SEBC candidates from the state of Kerala is 55% in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in Mathematics as well.
• An overall 50% mark in aggregate is required to apply for CUSAT CAT.
• For the rest, the qualifying mark is 60% in aggregate as well as Mathematics.
• Diploma or Vocational candidates are not eligible to appear for CUSAT CAT.
• The maximum age limit of candidate is 25 years as on September of the current year.
• Both Indian and foreign nationals will need to share the required documents.
• In case of applying based on state quota, domicile certificate is mandatory to produce during the final round of interview.
