Photo id proof can be aadhar card, driving license, pan card, voter ID card etc
No, it's not compulsory but keeping aadhar card with you is a safest option for counseling. Whatever ID proof you have mentioned you can carry that with you in case of doubt otherwise it's not a compulsion to use same ID proof. Any government authorized ID proof will work for you.
