i got 92.6 percentile in jee mains and obc category , home state which branch i will able to get at sgsits indore

kumardurgesh1802 11th Mar, 2025

Hello there,

With 92.6 percentile in JEE Main under the OBC category and Madhya Pradesh as your home state, your estimated rank is around 66,000 . At SGSITS Indore , you have a good chance of getting branches like Electronics and Instrumentation , Electrical , Mechanical , Civil , Industrial & Production , and Biomedical Engineering . Admission to Computer Engineering and IT might be difficult due to higher cutoffs. Cutoffs can vary yearly based on competition and seat availability.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank or percentile.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Can I submit my July Improvement exam result till August in Josaa Counselling, as I wont score 75% in boards (Feb exam). And secondly, will I be eligible to sit in josaa counselling in June?

Mitali Sharma 4th Mar, 2025

Hello

Submitting Improvement Exam Results in August for JoSAA :

No, JoSAA does not allow submission of improvement exam results after the counselling process. The eligibility criteria for admission require you to meet the 75% board percentage (or top 20 percentile) at the time of JoSAA counselling. Since JoSAA counselling takes place in June-July, you need to have your final marks ready by then. Improvement results declared later will not be accepted.

Eligibility to Participate in JoSAA Counselling in June :

If you do not meet the 75% eligibility criteria (or top 20 percentile), you will not be eligible for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs through JoSAA. However, you can still participate in counselling but your seat will not be confirmed unless you meet the eligibility requirements.

If your improvement results are coming in July/August, you may have to wait for the next academic session or check if CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) allows late submission.

Hope this gives you the clarity you need.

How to join the government railway job

Anuska Bakuly 19th Jan, 2025

Hello Khushi,

To join the government job in Indian Railways, there is a structured process managed by the Railway Recruitment Board and Union Public Service Commission.

  • Group A: These are high-ranking positions that are filled by the Indian Railway Management Service Exam conducted by UPSC.
  • Group B: These are usually filled through promotions in group C.
  • Group C and Group D: These are usually lower ranks, which include station master, clerk, and technicians. Both technical and non-technical persons are recruited.

Prepare well for the examination. Familiarize yourself with the syllabus and types of questions asked. Go through the study material, online courses, and previous year question papers. Be consistent in practice and time management. These are the key things that will help to achieve the dream job in the Indian Railways.

I am a working professional doing a job in finance I want to switch my career into journalism please suggest some colleges and programs I can persuade with my job

Nikita shahi 15th Jul, 2025

Hi,

It’s great that you're planning to switch career to journalism, even while working in finance. Journalism is a field where strong communication, analytical skills, and a curious mindset matter and your background in finance could give you a better chance especially in business or financial journalism. Another thing to keep in mind that you're a working professional, you’ll probably want a program that offers flexibility like evening classes, weekend lectures or, part-time.

There are some college/program options you can consider:

1. Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Delhi & other centres,Offers a 1-year PG Diploma in Journalism,Known for its practical training and Some short-term certificate programs are also available.

2. Asian College of Journalism (Chennai),offers a 1-year PG Diploma in Journalism,full-time, but worth exploring if you plan to take a career break.

3. Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), Pune it's offers PG programs in mass communication, check if part-time or distance learning options are available.

You can check more journalism courses and colleges here:
