Hello Aspirant,

Mathematics, English and general knowledge are the subjects asked in CDS examination. English and general knowledge questions asked in both the CDS OTA and CDS IMA/ INA/ AFA courses. In CDS IMA/ INA/ AFA mathematics is an additional subject. The questions asked in the CDS exam are of 10th and 12th standard.
So if you're from the biology stream you're advised to go for CDS OTA.
In this your understanding of English language abd how well you're acquainted with it is tested and in GK section your awareness about day to day events is checked.

Jay Hind my eye sight is -1 and number is 6/18& 6/24 am I eligible for cds Ima please reply

Aditi Singh 8th Jul, 2022

Hello,

I fear if your eyesight is 6/18 and 6/24, you might not be eligible for CDS because the eyesight must be 6/6 without glasses. It should be under 6/12 if one is wearing glasses. However, candidates with glasses can not join the Air Force branch.

Eye correction surgery could be one option if you are above 20.

Dear Aspirant, always get into a college or universities with proper affiliations as recommended by the government. Some of the entrance examination application needs the applicant to be graduated from a recognised university. So go for UGC approved colleges.

right now I m 19 years old and I completed my +2 and I m preparing for cds exam after 3 years of completion of graduation in 2022 its my 1 st year and in 2024 its my third year so how many attempt I have after completion of my graduation

Aditi Singh 8th Jul, 2022

If you are 19 now then you must be between 21 or 22 after the completion of your graduation. There is no restrictions in number of attempts you give in CDS exam however age is. A candidate can give the CDS exam in ages ranging from 19 to 25 for different branches.

For IMA, your age should be between 19-24 years. For NA, your age should be between 19-22 years. For AFA your age should be between 19-23 years. For OTA, your age should be between 19-25 years.

The CDS exam helds twice a year so you may give 6-9 attempts after completion of your graduation.
