Im a btech student completed my 3rd year but results are not out yet, will I be able to attend CDS.

shruti jha Student Expert 22nd Jul, 2019

Hi Sheetal,

Only those make/female candidates can appear directly for ssb rounds who are a active ncc members and had completed there            C-certificate.

But if, one does not have C-certificate of ncc then they have to appear for both cds written as well as ssb interview rounds.

And,as you said your results of final year are not out, then also you can appear for cds written test and then before appearing for ssb interview round you have to show your final results.

Good luck.

Deputy collector post is better than nda or cds officer ? Is deputy collector salary more than NDA or CDS officers ?

Ankit Dahiya Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019
Hello,
Deputy Collector, Indian army officers through NDA or CDSE all come under A class services in India.
Both offer prestigious lifestyle and repect in society. As they are in completely different domain, it cannot be said which ome is better. It all comes down to personal career preferences.
On one hand military offers the pride to guard your countrymen, the uniform and a sporty, adventureus life. On the other hand DC job offers a direct opportunity to bring a change in lifes of people of your district/are
Also, as both are on same level, there is not much difference between salaries offerd to them. However it is seen that military servicemen receive some what less payment as compared to their IAS service counterparts.
Hope it helps, good luck.

CDS officer Salary is more than NDA officer?,what is difference between different post salary both officer? Is a cds officer is better t NDA

Komal Dayanand Gardi 19th Jul, 2019

Hello Rajendra,  Yes CDS officers have more salary as compare to NDA officers. Salary for NDA officer starts form 21k while , a CDS officers salary starts from 45-50 K. And the salary goes on as per the post. But NDA is more better because students can apply for NDA after 12 th. So if we consider physical training,  then it is quite easy to face the training For 3 year.  In CDS training period is less but to face that training is really difficult.

I hope it will help you more.

Thanks.

i am studying in my 3 year btech and born n 8 octiber 1999 can i apply in cds

Simran Thakur 16th Jul, 2019
Dear Reader,

As per your age you are eligible but as per your qualification you will be eligible to write CDS writtern exam next year. UPSC release notification for CDS twice a year. You will be eligible as soon as you finish your 6th semester and get your marksheet because CDS require atleast 3 year of degree.

There is an advantage for you here, as you are an engineering student you will be allowed for one extra branch that is the engineering (technical branch). Also you will get age relaxation of 2 years. Apart from this, engineers can directly appear for SSB interview without writing any entrance exam. The entries are SSC-TECH and UES NAVY.
Also you are a male candidate so you will be allowed for all three forces that is army, air force and navy.  While girls are only allowed for army through CDS.
So prepare well.
Good luck

Akshit singhal Student Expert 8th Jul, 2019

Hello Vinuthna, as you had put your date of birth as 2nd of july, 1995 instead of 1st of july 1995, it can create a problem at the time of admission. As at the time of verification your details can be mismatched. You should correct it at the time of document verification and admission.
