I have studied commerce in class 11th CBSE but changed to PCB in 12th NIOS board. Will I be eligible for NEET or BPT?

AnkiT KunwaR 26th Jan, 2020
Hello Antraa,

Yes, this is very good news for you because NIOS candidates are eligible for NEET.Eaely there was restrictions for NIOS candidates but from 2019 the SC(Supreme Court) has put a stay on order that stops NIOS candidates from appearing in NEET Exam.
So, you can apply fir NEET 2020.

But for BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) a candidate needs to have done HSE (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized university.He/She should have pursued science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects securing a minimum aggregate score of 50%(General) or equivalent CGPA whereas (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

I hope this helps.

Im in class 11th commerce and CBSE registration is done but I want to change my stream. Should I do NIOS?

NAVNEET PANDEY 9th Jan, 2020

Hello antra

If you are in 11th class you can change your stream even after registration, you can talk to your principal, write an application letter for changing stream with your parents sign on it and submit it to your school administration, as 11th class is independent of 12th class, so you don't face any problem.

Only choose national institute of open schooling if your school doesn't change the stream but that's very rare case.

I hope it helps.

Is stream change allowed after 11th?

Abinash Panigrahi 3rd Jan, 2020

Dear aspirant,

Change of stream is a very complicated procedure which can be done only while you're in your 11th and during a certain time decided by the school authorities. But you can't just change your stream after 11th.

But you can do it if you want to repeat your 11th again and start over with the 1st year itself. Only through this way you can get to change your stream.
