Karan Hedaoo 26th Nov, 2018

Hello Jisha,

CAT conducted by IIM and is generally taken by IIM'S to get entry into Top BSCHOOL and IIM.

Many College in India generally accept the CAT Scores except xlri, nmims, symbiosis, etc.

Hope it clears your doubts about it. All the best.

Sir, I got 71.5% in CAT,92.17% in 10th,94.5% in 12th,78.15% in BTech, Can i get admission in any IIM?

Anonymous 5th Jan, 2019

At 71 percentile, there are almost no chances to get a call from any IIMs. You shall go for ither bschools with this percentile which are:

1. IMT Hyderabad

2. IBS Hyderabad

3. BIMTECH (Not the core program but Retail, Insurance etc)

4. XIME.

I have got 83.46 percentile. But my DI section my percentile is low. I fall under general Category. Will I get shortlisted for any IIM?

Anonymous 5th Jan, 2019

If you clear the sectional cut off then you might recive a very few calls from the new IIMs however, chances are very less. But With 80+ Percentile the list goes quite narrow of decent bschools but you can go for the following:

1. BIMTECH, Greater Noida

2. BITS, Pilani

Hello Sakshi,

Getting into expected CAT cutoff is 85+ percentile according to last year cutoff

Your chances are thereby less to get into TAPMI.

All the best.

What is work experience for CAT .I in b.tech 1st year I filling it appering year.

Smit Parmar 26th Nov, 2018
Workex is considered upto 31st March of a respective year. For example upto 31st March 2019 what is your workex in months.
It is calculated in that manner.
In general workex of 24 months to 36 months is ideal for companies recruiting in Bschools.
I hope this answers your query.

puneet mahajan 15th Jan, 2019

Dear Shiva

Looking at your profile I can say that it is a pretty decent one and the b.com is a very sought after profile that b-schools look for.

Calls from NIBM colleges are difficult at this percentile but good chances for MDI M and BIMTECH.

All the best

Smit Parmar 26th Nov, 2018
If you're aiming for IIMs it will be difficult owing to past scores. But there alot of private Bschools that do not consider Past academics alot and focus rather on Cat scores.
So yes you can definitely get a good MBA college if you score 90+ percentile in Cat.
