Common Law Admission Test
Hello,
NUSRL will conduct CLAT 2020 in offline mode on 10th May, 2020.
Application process has commenced from 1st January and 31st March is the last date.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidate needs to pass 10+2 from a recognized university with 45% for Generals, for SC/ST it's 40%. There's no upper age limit. Those appearing in 2020 for class 12th too are eligible.
There has been a pattern change this time, and the number of questions have been reduced from 200 to 150.
CLAT Syllabus now comprised of the following:
English including comprehension
General knowledge and current affairs
Elementary mathematics (numerical ability)
Legal aptitude
Logical reasoning
CLAT syllabus has been changed and to give you a gist of the changed syllabus,
The no.of questions asked will be reduced from 200 to 120/125 but the time duration will be the same
English: There will be no more direct vocabulary questions
GK: Static GK will be removed and only your knowledge on current affairs will be tested
Mathematics: Only DI based questions.
Logical Reasoning: More emphasis on critical reasoning questions
Legal Aptitude: No Legal GK questions but the reasoning questions will remain.
We do not yet have sample papers as this is the first year.

As admission is done through CLAT in IPU instead of their own Entrance which was previously IPU CET. You still need to fill up the the form for IPU separately as CLAT scores will be considered only for the admissions.

CLAT is necessary to take admission in Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) and the university provides for reservation to J&K Migrants, but you will have to give CLAT in order to get admission in GNLU, however, it is not compulsory to give CLAT if you want to take admission in any other university in Gujarat. You have not provided the specific university/college in which you want to apply, i would suggest you check the website of the university you wish to apply and check the entrance criteria of that university. Preparing for CLAT exam in a month could be attainable provided you have proper time-table and study plan ready for the whole month.
5-6 hours a day is enough to crack the exam.
For Maths:
solve and practice different types of sums.
For English:
Solve Reading Comprehensions.Learn new synonyms for words.Try strong arming your grammer.
For Logical Reasoning:
Solve puzzles.Study Syllogisms.
For Legal Reasoning and GK:
Solve past year question papers.
and stay updated with the GK and current affairs.
