As per new revised syllabus, there is exclude of Communication system chapter from physics through NCERT in some states. No need to worry much. Still no question is asked from that lesson in JEE-MAINS and even there is very less probability of getting a question from that lesaon.

Some of the best possible NITs for communication engineering are- NITs-NITs trichy, NIT surathkal, NIT warangal, NIT allahabad etc..

In terms of placement NITs are not upto the mark for MTech course. You may join NITs trichy or warangal or surathkal.  Rest of them have very poor placement scenario.
