I want to shift my path from ece to cse after my graduation and want to pursue it abroad through gre...wwould it be a right choice

Payal Patil 10th Jul, 2019

It is a good option and relatively easier, too.

Though make sure you're good at programming before making a shift. If not then you must enroll in classes to improve your programming skills.

Is programming or coding an outcome in an electronics and communication engineer..

saranya 2nd Jul, 2019

In the course of CSE, there is much less to learn about coding. The course lays much stress on operating system, architecture, automata and networking. So, a coder learns coding on his own will and liking coding. Even an ECE student could learn or master in coding. ECE students are getting placed in IT firms because they too have the same basic knowledge on computers and coding which an CSE student has. They have DBMS, C and JAVA in their course just like a CSE student.

ECE Is good branch but it depends on colleges

You can complete it from any collage and get degree you should keep in mind some factors

1 . Collage rank

2.Collage placement record and how much is the cut-off for placement

3. How many companies and which are those(in most of the collages 70%80%companies are IT background which came for placement)

If you interested in IT sector this will be a good opportunity

Hope you got some information

Thank you

Sir iam Vijay, if we study ece branch in a tyer 3 type college then is it enough to have good cgpa in all 4 years to get placed in a goodcom

Anik Das 28th Jun, 2019

Hello Vijay, placement in a good company would depend on a lot many factors other than a good CGPA, i will list out a few

  • Gate score
  • CGPA
  • Industrial Trainings
  • Internships
  • Extra-curricular activities
  • performance in interviews, group discussion, aptitude tests etc.

If your college has good companies coming for campus recruitments it can be a lot easier to get into, but if not, there are also other ways to get employed by a good company. keep a lookout for the hiring process of your desired companies.
