Khushi Goyal 7th Aug, 2021

Dear Student,

No, you will not be able to learn web development or website development in B.Com. Computer Application Course.

B.Com. Computer Application is a three year degree programme. Basically, it will deal with all the parts of B.Com. as well as some of the advanced parts which will help in making B.Com. studies and application more easy by using Computer Application.

Maintenance of Business Data, arranging them , sequencing and improvising sorting techniques are the key objectives for B.Com. Computer Application course. In B.Com. Computer Application, you will be learning about the data sorting and data keeping and arranging techniques related to business.

But you can go for web development course anytime you wish to. There are various online courses (free and paid) on web development which further divides into front-end web development and back-end web development and when combined, it is known as full-stack web development.

After that, you can start your career as a job of a developer or also you can go for freelancing or start your own startup.

Shalini Parimal 10th Aug, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

Yes, you can pursue BCA after 10+2 from Humanities stream. Most of the colleges eligibility criteria suggests that candidates who wish to take admission in BCA programme must have completed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board. Only sometimes the BCA eligibility varies depending upon various colleges and universities. There are lots of colleges in Kerala you can go for pursuing BCA.

is BCA is also known as bsc in computer application??

Subhrajit Mukherjee 5th Aug, 2021

Nope! BCA is known as the Bachelors in Computer Application. It is a professional course for students who want to go for IT jobs but won't want to take admission in engineering or not eligible for engineering. The BCA course gives a strong base towards the Data Management, web development, Software development etc. You can expect job after BCA but to have a prosperous career ahead and to stand out of the crowd its always expected that you should appear for MCA course.

Now BSc Computer Application is also a three year course UG degree as BCA but in BSc Computer Application you will not get the exposure as you will get in BCA. For most of the colleges it has a lot of differences. So if you want to go for a course with more probability of getting job then I would recommend you to go for BCA rather than BSc Computer Application.

which of these is a better career field charted accountant vs bachleor in computer application ??

Supriya Omi 3rd Aug, 2021
Hello there!
Both are good fields, if we try to compare.
Bachelors in Computer Application is a 3 year graduation degree whereas CA is a long duration one.
If we look from a job or placement point of view then, one might get a job or placement earlier in Computer application field while completing CA takes a lot of time.
Both have scope and both are worth spending money on in order to get a worthy  graduation degree.

I just completed 12std this year I join a college actually I studied arts group with computer application in 11th. so I want to do BSCcomputer science. so can I take BSC CS in college??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 29th Jul, 2021

hi,

see the general eligibility criteria for b.sc in computer science is candidates must complete 12th course with mathematics and English as a mandatory subject from a recognized education board.

however since you are from arts group and did not have mathematics in 12th course, you may not eligible for admission to b.sc course in computer science.

however you may try for BCA (bachelor in computer application )course, bca course syllabus includes computer programming, computer architecture, basics of algorithm, web development etc. in some of the institute admission to bca course is applicable to students from any branch of 12th course.

list of bca college name for non MATH students is as follows:

Christ University, Banglore.

Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Pune.

Institute of Management Studies, Noida.

Sikkim Manipal University

Manipal University, Jaipur

Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar
