I have Hindi as optional in my class 12. so in wbjee counselling in qualification detail in optional subject there is biology, biotechnology, computer science, computer application and technical vocational subject what should I do please help.

Nikhitha Sai 14th Aug, 2020
Hello student. Hindi as a subject in your class 12th is not related with you taking any of the subjects that are mentioned above as optional ones. First, find and know where your interest lies in. Computer science, biology and vocational subjects are there different paths. Computer science is more related to IT field technology etc, biology is a different stream with plants and animals, whereas vocational subjects develop practical skills in many areas. Som see where your interest lies in, and hindi being your class 12th doesn't affect  whichever subject you take now.

Dear aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

BCA is a 3 year undergraduate program wishing to delve in the world of computer.

The eligibility for a person to get admission into thsi course is that the person should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% to 55% aggregate.

In order to pursue BCA one need not have math in 12th.

A student of any stream like mpc/bpc/arts/commerce can also pursue this.

But there will be topics of math in 4 out of 6 semesters in BCA so there by attending classes could help you.

So you can take BCA .

Here is a list of some colleges that offer BCA without math:

  • Christ university,Bangalore
  • Symbiosis institute ,Pune
  • LPU,Jalandhar
  • Institute of management studies,Noida
  • Sikkim Manipal university
  • Manipal university,Jaipur

I have scored 91% in tnstateboard 12th public 2019-20 in commerce (computer application). But I got admission for b.com applied commerce in a college. I dont know about it. will it is useful to get admission in nit for mba course? or I have take b.com general? kindly help me to choose the best one.

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 24th Jul, 2020

Hey Sankari

As afr as NIT for mba is concerned, you cannot do MBA after your +2. You have to hold a bachelors degree to get admission in any MBA course. To get admission in MBA in an NIT you will have to give CAT exam. So before you give the cat exam you need to get a bachelors degree (be it in BBA or B.Com (//B.Com) ). Since you have already got a seat for B.Com (//B.Com) in a college then just complete it first while taking any coaching for CAT. All the best,
