The computer skills for HR jobs are proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Power point.Also you should be good at boolean searching and email writing.Some HR jobs require high language proficiency, both at writing as well as speaking.If these skills are with you, then you could definitely go for HR jobs!

For being a Assistant professor in UGC colleges, You should have a SET/SLET, NET certificates and have a Masters degree since it is mandatory as per the ugc guidelines.
However, your computer knowledge depends on the subject you might be teaching and there is as such no criteria regarding the computer knowledge as far as you are not related to any computer science courses.
