Although rank varies every year. It depends on number of candidates appeared in the examination, highest marks obtained in a particular year, total number of available seats. Generally you need to secure 6000 rank that is required to get a top ranking govt college. Even 10,000 rank is sufficient to get admitted to a low ranking govt college.

Diploma in computer science and engineering is a 3 year course with 6 semesters.

Engineering mathematics, applied physics and chemistry, communication skill, fundamentals of electronic,database management,  system software, computer graphics, data analysing  are all some of the subjects.

Students after 10 who attain a minimum age of 15 can apply for this course. Thete are government polytechnic colleges offering admission mainly via entrance exam or merit. Stude after 12with science stream can also apply. Both private and government colleges offering diploma in computer science are available. Fee structure in government college range from 30-50k. Private can reach upto 3L.

After diploma you can do BCA,  BCA hons, Btech or many other courses.
