Yes, it is available at IIT Guwahati and other colleges are also there. In Assam PG and UG, colleges are available. Please ask questions according to your needs as your question looks incomplete.
The main thing is that for doing computer science he must focus first on JEE Mains and then on Advanced as college environment really matters and of course, the student's will power in computer science can take him much further far away from others if he doesn't have an interest then nothing will happen, so first get good college like IIT, and after that, if he learns much and becomes expert he will be able to take the scholarship and further he can do MS in Computer Science from Foreign Universities. He must also focus on Boards and get more than 75 percent.
If you are interested in continuing your career in computer science then the best option is doing degree in computer science. The eligibility criteria of BSC computer Science is candidates must have passed there with compulsory subjects physics chemistry and mathematics with 50% of marks. Admission processors are based on merit and entrance exams. If you are total percentage is 42 then it will be difficult for you to get admission in colleges on the basis of merit
But for entrance exams you just have to perform well. Your percentage in 12th doesn't affect the entrance exam results. If you wrote the entrance exam soil you will be admitted to best universities or colleges on the basis of rank list published.
Here is some of the careers you can pursue after doing degree in computer science

Yes, definitely! This is a very prevalent trend in the Indian Institute of Technologies or IITs. Many of the students who come from various backgrounds like Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mining Engineering etc. they opt for Computer Science and Engineering in the IITs. If you crack GATE in the CSE subject, then no one can stop you, however you'll have to convince the interviewer panel that why you should be selected in the place of a person who has completed his bachelors in CSE. If you manage to do this, then there is no reason why you'll not be able to get admission.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
It is totally up to you that for which subject you have to give GATE, and you can change this every year. So, if this year or in 2023 you opt for Computer Science and Engineering, and you do not get satisfactory results, then in the next year of 2024, you can definitely attempt the GATE in Biomedical Engineering paper without any restrictions.
So essentially you can give gate in Biomedical Engineering in 2024. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
