As if now you are  rank is vary between 78,700 and 78,800.

Wait for qualifying cutoff score which is going to release in April.

And write April exam also for better score than January exam score .
Because shortlisting may done according to category and number of students

No it is not a compulsion to have cs in class 12 for doing b.tech in cs branch.

You can opt for any branch based on your marks in the exam.

It only helps you to understand the concepts more easily if you have same subject as 12
