It depends on the college you attend; most allow branch changes after the second semester. There are a few requirements that must be met in order to shift branches.

• You should have passed your first and second semesters (no back loggers are allowed)
• There must be an available seat

Anyone can do job in a CSE company and your branch is good. You just have to know DSA and little bit of development part by which you can easily enter in big IT companies.
