Please clearify your category if you belongs from general category then it will be difficult to get a CSE department sea in government college though you can get other branches with an ease. And if you are from an reserved category then definitely you will get a seat in 2nd

1. CSE is the study of Hardware and Software whereas IES is the study of Software only.

2. Placement wise both the branch have the same opportunities.
