I scored 86.6 percentile in jee and 47 percentile in gujcet. Can I get ddu computer branch through management quota?

Abhi sonkar 2nd Jul, 2025

Yes, management quota at DDU does exist and is used when y ou’re ready to pay higher tuition fees (often 1.5–2.5 lakh/year)

You apply directly to the college (after ACPC rounds end or through institute-level rounds)

With 86.6 percentile in JEE, you have a fair chance to get CSE through management quota, especially if:

You apply early

Seats remain after merit-based admissions

You're ready for the higher fee structure

I suggest you to  contact college admission office directly and inquire about fee structure deadline documents needed.

I scored 86.6 percentile in jee and 47 percentile in gujcet. Can I get ddu computer branch through management quota?

Rohan 9th May, 2025

With an 86.6 percentile in JEE and 47 percentile in GUJCET , securing CSE at DDU through Management Quota is unlikely .

  • JEE Rank (86.6 percentile) : Around 1,13,000–1,30,000 , above the CSE cutoff.

  • GUJCET 47 percentile is also below the cutoff for CSE.

You may consider applying for other branches or other universities and prepare for next year to improve your chances for CSE.

I took pcb in 12th but I want to take computer science after 12th. Can I still take it even if didnt cimputer science or maths as optional subject?

Kishan Bhakat 8th May, 2025

Hi,

If you completed your 12th with PCB but didn’t have Mathematics , it might be challenging to pursue a B.Tech in Computer Science since most colleges require Maths in 12th.

However, you can explore options like:

  1. Bridging Courses : Some universities offer courses to help you meet the eligibility for Computer Science.

  2. Private Universities : Some institutions may have flexible admission criteria, allowing you to join B.Tech CSE without Maths in 12th.

  3. B.Sc. in Computer Science : If B.Tech isn't an option, you can pursue a B.Sc. in Computer Science and then go for a Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) .

Check with specific universities for their eligibility requirements.

Hope this helps!

How much fees of bsc in computer in vps college and what is the language of teaching

Saurabh Yadav 7th May, 2025

Hii,

VPS College's B.Sc in Computer Science fees range from 15,000 to 30,000 each year, subject to vary dependent on college rules.  It's better to call the college to get the exact amount.  The language of instruction is commonly Hindi and English, which students may easily understand.

Teachers use basic phrases and guide students through the learning process step by step.  If you come from a Hindi background, you can also ask questions in Hindi.

WHAT IS THE PERCENTAGE OF MARK FO COMPUTER SCIENCE

Anushree Thakare 19th Jul, 2025

For a Computer Science degree, the required percentage of marks in Class 12 typically falls within the range of 50-60%, with a science background (including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).

Some institutions may require a minimum of 75% for general/OBC categories and 65% for SC/ST categories, especially for top-tier institutions like IITs and NITs.

There isn't a specific "percentage of marks" for Computer Science in JEE. Instead, JEE (both Main and Advanced) focuses on ranking and percentile scores.

To get into a good IIT for Computer Science, you'll need a high JEE Advanced rank, typically within the top few thousand, which corresponds to a score of 280-300+.

For JEE Main, a good percentile score (e.g., 90 percentile for General) can get you into good NITs or IIITs for CSE.

You can check the article below to understand the cutoff trends

Im confused between choosing computer science or psychology for college. Which one has better career prospects and what exams should I prepare for?

Riya Dhoot 7th May, 2025

Hello,

Computer Science generally offers broader career prospects in tech, software, and AI with high salary potential, while Psychology leads to careers in counseling, research, or clinical fields with further study. for CS, prepare for exams liek JEE, VITEEE, or state-level CETs; for Psychology, focus on CUET or university-specific entrances. choose based on your interest in coding/technology vs human behaviour and mental health.

Sure! Heres a detailed question that covers college, exams, and career planning: **"Im currently in my final year of high school and planning to pursue a degree in computer science. Im trying to decide between studying in my home country or applying abroad (mainly the US or Canada). I want to kn

Afreen 28th Aug, 2025

An undergraduate degree abroad is a good investment if you pursue it in canada because it provides quality education at affordable costs, along with a clearer path to post-graduation work and permanent residency, making it a reliable option to settle abroad.

Coming to U.S. it offers top-tier universities and higher salaries, but have very high costs and a difficult visa process for international graduates.

And  if you are not sure go for studying in your home country which is more affordable and offering opportunities in a growing tech sector.

Ultimately, a strong focus on finances and long-term career plans, including any desire to immigrate, will guide your decision.

Good luck!!
