It depends on college. Basically, overall rank is considered. But, each college has some cutoffs for their specific community. The admission is provided on basis of these cutoffs. So, community rank is also considered by some colleges. Otherwise, overall rank is the main factor for counselling at TNEA.

The reservation changes are only applicable to the AIQ quota seats in which 27% reservation for OBC has been added. It is not applicable to the state quotas and the previous reservation criteria will be followed.
