BTech ( Bachelor of Technology ) or BE ( Bachelor of Engineering) is a 4 year degree course divided into 8 semesters. You have different branches in BE /Btech like computer science, IT, ECE, Mechanical, electrical etc. You can get list of top branches at:-
---------------------) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Qualifications required :- To be eligible you need to pass 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry /Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
Minimum percentage required in 12th:- In general you need at least 45 % for general category and 40 % for sc/st in 12th in physics , maths and Chemistry /Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject taken together to be eligible.
For example,
To be eligible for BTech in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur which is a government institution , one needs to pass 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory/mandatory subjects along with one of - Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology with at least aggregate of 45% marks (40% if you are from reserved categories ) in these subjects.
