in general to take admission in one year diploma in criminology candidate has to pass 10 + 2 class examination with any of the streams art, Science and commerce. this is a one year diploma course it can be done through distance mode of education also. Its fees vary from 5000 to 20000 in total. After completion of the course candidates can get decent salary jobs that vary from 15000 to 20000 per month.
After doing civil engineering doing 1 year course is possible such a candidate can do MSc criminology which is the combination of criminology and forensic science and of 2 years course. After completion of the course candidate can get the job like criminal analysists, private detectors, social worker, fire investigation officer, in private or government sector job. The job like criminal detection, loss prevention officer, forensic technician, forensic psychologist. After completion of the course the salary of 3.50 lacs to 4. 50 lacs per annum.

However, Incase youre interested in subjects like Law, Police Administration, Criminology and Forensic Studies, I would perhaps advise you to pursue State Police Service Examination, PCS/State Police or maybe prepare for UPSC for Cadres like RAW, IPS, DANIPS or IRS and youll get to know these domains in details, being in service.
