my crl rank is 201346 can I get nit in csab counselling

Piyush 11th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

With the above mentioned CRL rank, and according to the previous year CSAB Counselling Cutoff, you may have difficult in getting some good NIT's or IIIT's in CSAB round, unless you have the Home state Quota. But you may not able to get some good and core branches in NIT like CSE or ECE, rather you can get branches like Civil, mechanical, ceramic, textile, Biotechnology, etc.

Further. if you want to pursue CSE or ECE then it would be better to choose lower rank NIT campus.

it will be better to look out for government engineering college. There is a chance to get top branch if you have any reservation category. you can apply for government college located in your residential state and you can use home state quota.

Further to know more about the CSAB counselling in more details, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/csab

I hope that this will help.

i got 259651 rank in obc category....and my nta score is 20.7982411 im i qualify in jee main and can i apply for csab....can get any nits sir sujjest me .....

Sach Thadani 14th Aug, 2022

Greetings!

Respected sir/mam, with a percentile of 20.79 and category rank of 259651, you don't technically "qualify" in JEE main, because what generally qualification means being able to write JEE advance. However you can still apply for JOSSA and CSAB counselling, as for that you don't need to get any fixed percentile...

Now coming to question weather or not you can get NITs, well the answer to that is no... at this rank it is not possible to get any NIT at this percentile

Although you can use the following predictor to get more information on which college you can get

What is CSAB? My rank is 72000 will i get in any iiits Or gftis?

Tanu Shri 14th Aug, 2022

Hey,

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), has been constituted by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India for coordinated admissions to various undergraduate degree programs of engineering, technology, and architecture in NITs, IIEST, IIITs and CFTIs based on JEE- Main rank, preferences and availablity of seats.

CSAB 2022 will be conducted separately for the three channels - CSAB NEUT( North-Eastern states and Union Territories), CSAB UT (supernumerary seats in the Union Territories), and CSAB SFTI (Self-financed technical institutes).

Predicting college is difficult as JEE Main cut-off differs every year based on various factors like -

1. Difficulty level of examination

2. Number of students who appeared in the examination

3. Total number of seats available for each branches.

Based on previous year trend you can consider NIT Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Goa, NIT Sikkim, NIT Silchar, NIT Puducherry, NIT Agartala, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Raipur if any of them is a Home State to you.

Another college you can consider is HBTU. You have chances of getting a good branch here. It's a highly reputed government Institutions.

To know your other chances through JOSSA & State level Government & private c olleges, You can use the JEE Main College Predictor tool given below.

my crl rank is 371214 and ews rank is 43355 do I have chance in Csab

Anurag Khanna 9th Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

On such EWS rank you have no chances to get any of the NITs or IIITs or GFTIs neither in JOSAA nor in CSAB(on the basis of CRL rank). You can get an idea from previous year's closing ranks available on the official website :-

https://josaa.admissions.nic.in/Counseling/seatallotmentresult/currentorcr.aspx

https://admissions.nic.in/CSABSpl/CSABSplReg/seatallotmentresult/currentorcr.aspx

But you can go for some other government colleges that are discussed below.

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-

Universal College of Engineering, Mumbai

SITS - Sinhgad Institute of Technology and Science, Pune

Naraina Vidya Peeth Engineering & Management Institute, Kanpur

DCRUST - Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Sonepat

And some more.......

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2022 result :-

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so now you can check whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2022 or not, JEE-Main 2022 qualifying cut-offs are enlisted below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) -  88.4121383 percentile

Hello,

If your home state belongs to one of these NITs which are Srinagar, Agartala, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh,Mizoram then you have chances to get a seat here otherwise not.

In addition to above colleges you also have chances to get GFTis like Gurughasidas bilaspur, Kongri Vishwavidyalaya, BIT Mesra, Assam University. However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and toughness level of the paper.

can i change college from West Bengal university to assam university in 2nd year

kaquib934 5th Sep, 2022

Yes,you can change your college/uni from one university to other in 2nd year but the chances are really low try to score really good marks in your 1st year and also make sure you get a seat before going for another university and then proceed for further process, you'll need migration certificate and probably a NOC from the former university.
