As far as your rank is concerned which is 16k let me tell you there is less chance to get cse branch. But you are more eligible to get the it branch and electronics branch.

Although various factors are considered while deciding thcut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

Institute sir very much renowned in the fields of technical education and having better placement record in their own. But the choice of taking any course is depends upon the interest of a student. CSE branch in NIT Nagpur and Engineering physics in IIT Bombay is two different domains of subjects and have a little similarity among the subjects of the two courses. If you have a interest or it and Engineering then you have to choose NIT Nagpur or CSE branch on the other hand if you are interested for physics subject then you go for engineering physics at Bombay IIT.

So choice of subject after 12th science depends upon the students interest on the specific subjects or course. Both of the course is a rewarding one and have a great placement record.

Here mce at dtu is going to be a great choice in my opinion because of 2 reasons firstly because of the tag of dtu which in itself is a tag many people dream of having also it has the advantage of having a location base in delhi , the second reason is that mathematics and computing is a good branch and many tech companies hire such students also there is good coding culture in dtu which will improve your coding skills and you will get good placements if you work hard on the other hand  these advantages may not be there in iiest although it is also a good college.
