If we cant qualify CSIR JRf exam along with CSIR NET exam ..can we give only Jrf exam directly or we can give again NET with Jrf both next time?

pdwords Student Expert 26th Nov, 2021

Hello,

First of all CSIR NET is conducted for mainly science stream as in discipline of physical science, mathematical science, chemical science, earth science, biological science, if you intend to appear for CSIR NET then you can appear for JRF or both that is JRF as well as Lectureship/Assistant Professor,

If you only opt for JRF, and qualify the same, then you can pursue higher studies as well as go for lectureship, in case of CSIR NET candidates who qualify JRF get monthly stipend of Rs 25000 for first two years, and Rs 28000 for the next three years, the scores of JRF remain valid for two years, once you qualify CSIR NET JRF then you don't need to appear for entrance test of any university if you're seeking PhD admission, you can directly go to interview process,

The upper age limit for CSIR NET is 28 years for JRF only for general category there is relaxation obviously for reserved categories,, in case of lectureship there is no upper age limit. visit our page at https://competition.careers360.com/exams/csir-ugc-net to know more details regarding this.

ive just completed my BS microbiology, can i appear for gate biotech and csir now?

Sohamsengupta8 28th Sep, 2021

Hello student

After BSc biology you can appear for GATE exam and for life science it will be beneficial. If you want to to take  admission in Mtech in biotechnology through GATE exam then the choice of biotechnology in GATE exam will be beneficial. If you want to do PHD then life science in GATE exam will give you more advantage.

The rules says no.But you can appear for CSIR  after BSc honours before taking admission in MSC. Even if you cleared the exam will not be eligible to get the fellowship before taking admission in PHD. The net result is valid for 2 years.

Hello,

Firstly CSIR NET is mainly for science subjects such as mathematical science/chemical science/earth science/biological science/physical science, the eligibility criteria for CSIR NET is passed BTech/BPharm/BS degree of four years/Integrated MSc or BS-MS securing 55% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories,  in case of JRF the upper age limit is 28 years, there is relaxation of five years for five years for OBC/SC/ST/Transgender/Women candidates, in case of lectureship there is no upper age limit.

so to answer your question you can go for any subject selection or degree choice as per the eligibility criteria laid out by CSIR NET, if you want to go for integrated MSc then you may choose any field such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology/life science to name a few,

there is some mistake my name and date of birth in addhar card and it is not matched with my 10th standard mark sheet.is it any problem to get gate or csir jrf fellowship in phd? please rple

Akshita Dhiman 20th Jul, 2021

Hello aspirant,

All these documents are necessary and are required for verification purposes. Your 10th certificate is used as your date of birth proof and your adhar card as a valid ID card.

I suggest using an alternative ID card for now like your PAN Card, passport, voter ID, or your Driver's license as proof of identity. Please ensure that your 10th DOB and name match with the same.

Also, apply for an aadhar card correction. Please note that the adhar update takes 90 days, but as it is one of the mandatory ID proofs please make sure you apply for updation as soon as possible. It can be done from a aadhar center nearby.

The details of updating aadhar can be accessed from here

https://uidai.gov.in/my-aadhaar/update-aadhaar.html

I hope this information helps!
