Hey Vishvas
BTech in Food Technology is more diverse than BTech in Dairy Technology, infact you will get to know about dairy technolofy in food technology too. However the scope of getting a job after dairy tech is more than the chance of getting a job after food tech (as food tech has more number of students and with dairy tech you will be specialized with the subject). After food tech you will need to specialize in some stream (most often) to get a good job but the job will pay you higher than the one you would get after dairy tech.
That being said it totally depends on you and your interest. All the best!
Hi Shivam,
B. Tech. Dairy Technology as it is famously known among the masses is a 4 year long undergraduate engineering degree course which involves training the admitted students extensively in the production, processing and quality control of dairy-related products. The minimum eligibility requisite is 10+2 or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their subjects.
Talking about admission process:-
After the 10+2 eligibility criteria is met, the students have to furnish a valid scorecard of the All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR , New Delhi at different centers in the country. The admission is then based on merit.
The students after clearing the entrance exam need to clear the group discussion and personal interview .

Thank You.
Greetings, aspirant!
There are many dairy technology colleges in India. Admission to these colleges are generally done on the basis of an applicant's merit in various entrance exams. These exams include JEE Main, State-CET, as well as some University level exams.
However, due to the pandemic, most of these examinations and the subsequent admission processes was postponed. Therefore, colleges have not yet started their admission process as entrance exams / results are yet to come to pass
Hope this information helps
Best of luck!!
