is goal programming useful for data science?

Shalini Parimal 1st Aug, 2021

Hello,

As the complexity of  problem increases, the concept of Linear programming is very useful for data science developers. Linear Programming is the most effective way to go about optimization and has found its grounding in many applications and has become a core topic during data science training. And goal programming is more like an extension or generalization of linear programming (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_programming) to handle multiple, normally conflicting objective measures. So it is useful for data science.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!!

i got 962 in inter exams and 89.0997%in jee mains do i get a seat in cse core branch like data science, cybersecurity? (In sastra deemed University)

Rohit K Bhat 26th Jul, 2021

Greetings of the day aspirant

There is no such criteria (minimum JEE marks) for admission in to SASTRA university. SASTRA university has a separate procedure through stream 1 and stream 2 .

Stream 1
70 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 1 based on 12 th percentage ( 75 percent after normalisation ) + JEE mains score ( 25 percent )

For example
12 th percentage - 88 (CBSE) and JEE mains score is 80 .
Normalised percentage of board would be as follows
88 * 100/98.6 = 89.25
(Assuming percentage of topper is 98.6 )
Now 89.25 * 0.75 + 80 * 0.25 =86.94
This is your final score . AIR (SASTRA) is prepared based on this final score . There is a chance AIR up to 4000 .
If someone is a topper of board exam and his JEE mains score is 40 then final score would be 85 and AIR (SASTRA) would be above 5000 . It proves that there is no chance for JEE mains score below 40 in stream 1 .

Stream 2 .
30 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 2 based on 12 th percentage .
There is very less chance for percentage below 95 in stream 2 .
I know your chances are less but your intermediate marks is good so you still stand a chance to get admission through stream 1.
I would recommend you to apply for SASTRA without any fear as I see a little possibility that you may get a seat there.

I hope this helps!!

All the best for your future endeavours

Hello there!
See both are different courses with respect to academic curriculum.
On one hand where data science is related to IT industry, BBA is more related to management and business sector.
So in whichever field you have interest choose accordingly.
Then after career choice you will get the jobs accordingly.
So choose accordingly to your heart.

is it easy to prepare gor upsc being an data scientist or artifical intelligence engineeror any other software job if you are a software employee in any plaform like data science or AI engineer or any other. How much free time do you get

shreyakhedkar05 29th Jul, 2021
Hello,

Yes, you can prepare well for the UPSC even if you are working. software engineers mostly have work from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.But despite this, you can prepare well for civil services.  you just need to be good at time management. Before starting your office work you need to take out at least 2 hours for General studies. Then during breaks, you can read important news headlines or current affairs.

After your work hour take a 1-1.5hr break Then devote 2 hours to the optional subject then before going to bed revise whatever you have learned the whole day. Practice this daily. Initially, it will feel hectic but after some days it will become part of your routine.

Hope this will help!!
