Data Science
Hello aspirant,
Yes. It is possible to do Masters in Data Science. As you are from an engineering background and you may have done programming, your logical starting point will be strong. You can follow this steps for further knowledge:
Make a grip in a programming language like R or Python. As you're planning to do a full fledged course, do a simple introductory online course from course era or from any other online portal with good content a d decent instructors.
Read statistics thoroughly and develop a deep understanding of the subject. Study how statistical modeling can help make better decisions and answer questions logically. The deeper the connect the better.
Kindly research before you make a decision.
Hope this helps,
All the Best!!
Hello Student
It will be better for you to do data science course after passing B tech electrical at least with 60% marks.there is no such courses which will satisfy your interest of doing Mtech electrical after gate qualifying and PG diploma in data science at the same time. So if you are interested in data science course you can do after qualifying in GATE examination and do Mtech in data science. It is not a matter from the branches of Engineering you have done BTech.you can do Mtech in data science after qualifying in in GATE examination and score at least 60% marks in BTech any of the streams of Engineering ..
Hope this helps.
hi,
see cutoff score fluctuate every year and it depends on certain determining factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, choice of stream and so on. however as per previous years cutoff you have decent chances for selection in cse stream, this year expected closing rank is 9500 - 10500, we still not having the cse with specialized cutoff, however I would suggest to give choices as per your Interest. AL AND ML, data science, cloud computing, big data all are emerging technologies and have wide scope in future.

I hope this information will help you
Hey,
I would suggest Mtech at Bits Hyderabad would be a great choice as IIT Jammu is still in developing stage.
At BITS you will find an exposure to all the current technologies and the environment there is exquisite. It will not only help you academically but also professionally.
The placements are simply too good there and BITS is considered to be one of the best engineering colleges in India.
I hope this helps
Hello student,
Yes, you can study M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science which is a good choice. Average course fee is Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 2 Lakhs. Average salary offered is Rs. 4 Lakhs to 7.5 Lakhs.
List of colleges offering M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
List of colleges offering M.Sc Data Science in India are given below.
Hope this information helped you.
Best of Luck!!
see specialization course does not debarred you from not selected for CSE related job, while you go for specialization, that means you have studied the particular topic apart your generalized syllabus. however if you want you may go for others relevant streams job as well. after completing b.tech in cse you may apply as software engineer, programmer, data analyst , web developer like positions. however big data/ data science or cyber security each of the technology has wide opportunity and chances that it would increase in future. however apart from stream you have to be very selective about college and placement record so that you do not need to struggle for job after completing the graduation.
hope you understand.
