I regret to inform you that, you cannot apply for the DRDO exam by way of Mechanical Engineering course. As the application will ask you for the Btech degree in Mechanical Engineering. So, you only have two options now. You can either start the Mechanical Course freshly, or you can join DRDO from your stream itself.

MBBS and B tech are both separate fields.
Btech is bachelor of technology, the course is concerned with engineering field whereas mbbs is bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery.
Mbbs is a medical course .
Doing both the courses together is not possible or one after other is of no worth .
You must choose any one field. For b tech course mathematics subject is core subject while for mbbs biology is core subject along with it you will have to appear for neet exam , which is entrance exam for all medical courses.
For b tech course eligibility is to have passed class xii with physics, chemistry and mathematics with minimum 50% marks. For mbbs course , the candidate must have passed class xii with physics, chemistry and biology with minimum 50% marks. English is core subject and common for both . B tech is four years Course whereas mbbs is 5 years and 6 months course.
