what is the starting salary of dentist?

Mansi Yashi 23rd Oct, 2020
This depends upon the kind of degree the dentist has. Whether he is a graduate or post-graduate and whether he chooses to work at a hospital, at somebody else's clinic or sets up his/her own clinic. Pay for a graduate at a hospital is not more than 7-10 k but he/she can set up his/her own clinic which is always profitable if right decisions are made . Life gets easier after post graduation. One can reach the pay scale of 75 k to one lakh within years. And yes, they can always work at their clinic too.
Hope this helps

dentist or a MD doctor which has better life

Aman Ghatiya 17th Oct, 2020

Hello
Divjot Kaur
, From some research on internet I found that most of the medical field professionals say that dentist is better life than doctor because there is no late night calls or emergency for dentist no problem at weekend and most dentists are self-pay, so avoid the headaches that doctors face dealing with Medicare and multiple third party payors.

Hope it will be helpful for you :)

minimum marks in neet for getting admission in top dentist medical Colleges in chandigarh

Soumili Majumdar 15th Oct, 2020
Hello there,
Analysing the previous year data, you need to score around 500+ marks in NEET to get a seat in the government BDS colleges in Chandigarh. There is no fixed cutoff marks for BDS since the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of candidates appearing for it. Since you have not mentioned your category, I'm assuming that you are from the general category. Hence a score of around 550 can definitely help you grab a BDS seat in the government colleges. Im belong from maharashtra nd sc category if I just solved bio nd scored 300+ in it and 0 in phy nd 0 in chem then can I be a dentist?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 26th Aug, 2020

Hello,

There is no sectional cut off marks in NEET so if you score the minimum cut off marks by only attempting questions in Biology then you are eligible to seek admission in any medical College provided you must fulfill the other eligibility requirements.

Now, the cut off for dental Colleges in Maharashtra under state quota was around 330 and above considering this you may get seat if you score minimum 350-380 marks because cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, number of seats available, difficulty of exam etc. And scoring 300+ in Biology alone might not be possible as there is negative marking in NEET. So you need to attempt Physics and Chemistry to get good marks.
